The Ten Sites Project (HYWD Investment Fund)

It has been very long time since I've done anything about The HYWD Investment Fund. But the idea about it is not dead, I just have many things going and too little time.

An year and more ago when we ran the Alpha of the Risky fund it was a success. But I was not comfortable using others' money to gamble crappy HYIPs. I wanted to move on wiht serious stuff.

One of my main concerns have always been the legal setup of such a thing, but I would say I let this thing cause too much delays. I want to start small Alpha of the Webmastering fund soon.

The details of the idea

Here is how I think to start. I will create ideas and research keywords for 10 small affiliate/adsense niche sites. I'll collect funds from up to 20 readers who are willing to be Alpha testers.



For 10 small niche sites all we need is:

• Topics/competition and keywords research which I'll handle myself. Been there, done that


• Simple clean design and a simple CMS script, maybe Wordpress, maybe my own one. For the design we'll need $50 per site (low really, but as I said it'll be simple)


• Around 15 quality articles for each site. Will outsource writing for avg. $10 per article


• Some free promotion which will be done by my team these investors who wish to help


• Some very little paid promotion for $50 per site

The target of each site will be to achieve $100 monthly profit, but knowing that some sites will be a disaster, I would say we can expect $50 on average. So what this means:

$2,500 total budget for this Alpha.
$500 return per month life time or until we chose to sell the sites. I'll keep 40% of the profits because I'll handle not only the intiial work and ongoing management, but also hosting and domain names. Then there are $300 left for redistributing which means 12% average monthly profit. Still not bad.

One thing to know however is that this won't happen overnight. The sites will start making any profits at leats 3 months after creating and then can achieve $50 - $100 after one year. So although this will be Alpha, it will be long term project.

How This Can Be Settled?

Obviously for $2,500 it's funny to be even called "investment program" and to be legalized in any way. We'll just create a group of friends who collect money for a project together. It could be done in 25 units for $100 each.

I want very much to use Paypal, but I am afraid it's very risky to get my account blocked. So we'll probably have to go with Liberty Reserve, E-gold or something like that.

What to expect?

12% per month sounds tempting, but considering the overall size of the project, it alone won't make anyone rich. The main point is to have finally some start. Investing in web can be extremely lucrative and it's a pitty that I am holding this idea for so long.

If you have any experience with "make money online" stuff, you probably know making small niche sites is not bad idea, but definitely not the best thing to do online. However, this is an excellent, fool proof, brute force method of making money. It's not the most rewarding, but is the least risky. I want this project to start this way.

Later, if this Alpha phase is a success, we'll go into purchasing much bigger sites with good unerlying business system. We'll go into developing our own, into flip/flopping, building own products and who knows what else. The possibilities are really endless and the profits can go as high as 20% per month, but nothing will happen if I keep waiting.

For such further developments, the Alpha testers will be the first who will be proposed to participate. Only if I can't collect all the funds from them, then other people will be invited.

So now what?

I like the idea clifton. It should be far less risky than HYIPs and other scams. I think ultimately the success is going to come down to the quality of the sites. If they are good sites with quality content and lot so backlinks, I can't see them failing!

sounds like a good idea. You just got to get a domain, generate good keywords and stuff like those adsense ready sites. You would be basically making a link farm but Ive seen it done and it is profitable. There are even scripts to do this for these type sites. Like link generators and stuff like that.

Well, actually I am looking for creating slightly higher quality sites, no junk in them. We may want to sell them later, so they should be good. An example is one site I funded - http://ultralight-airplanes.info
