Bad Problems With E-gold

Yesterday a lot of forums and blogs already screamed the news - Digital Currency Business E-Gold Indicted for Money Laundering and Illegal Money Transmitting.

I won't repeat what everyone else says, go read the news and you'll find out. In very short - a lot of e-gold exchangers have their accounts ceased and thus we have limited options to withdraw or buy e-gold.

In my opinion the situation is not good, but there is nothing fatal that happened. There are still a lot of reliable exchangers who work. I'll give you a list of few that I know below:

London Gold Exchange - seems to work without problems

Goldex - e-gold exchange and debit cards, still accept e-gold and seem to work fine.

IceGold - one of the most reliable exchangers was ceased but they are currently using another e-gold account. Better be careful and don't send big amounts.

The Digital Gold Card - debit cards, unfortunately the loading fees are raized to 5% because of the current situation

Scriptlance E-gold Out-exchange - very reliable service and you even get 1% bonus on the amount you send. However they often stop accepting e-gold when there is no demand to it within their customers (which I suspect will happen soon).

I am sure there are more reliable exchanges - if you know of any, please share. Let's create a small resource for that.

For your info, London Gold Exchange has stopped exchanging with egold. They only use bank wire now.

Hi Clifton, No, you cannot sell e-gold to LGE for a bank wire. You can check the list of accepted DGC by clicking on the 'Sell' button at the top of their website. HIH

Here is what is written on the site: Sell Digital Gold & Silver to us and receive your funds via: * Domestic Bank Transfer (UK, Hong Kong, Czech Republic, Spain) or * International Bank Wire. Am I getting something wrong?

On 05/08 the started outexchanging e-gold again: "We have resumed outexchaning e-gold again, at 3% below spot rate."
