How have you been recently? It seems that the high yield investing bloggers are all on vacation. There hasn't been interesting new blogs or sites to review in the last few weeks. If you think you have something worthwile for review, why don't you mail Tony at admin@hywd.info?

Such quiet times are good for widening one's horisonts. Moneymonk is by no means a high yield investing blog. It is a blog for widening your horisonts into other investing, money making and savings ideas.



The author of this blog is a 34 years old woman, a Computer Analyst from Atlanta (I got that info from the about me page). Her voice and goals are very reasonable, there is no hype or empty claims.

This is what made me like this blog so much. There is nothing unbelievable or unachievable in it. It shows how everyone of us, even if considered an "average" person, can walk the way to his/her wealth.

I'd like to quote her favourite tips:

• Trust the Stock Market


• Generate income streams


• Max out Retirement Accounts


• Avoid Credit Card Debt


• Save consistently

There is no "invest in XYZ and get 10% daily" :-) Well of course people like me and you know we can improve this a lot by taking some reasonable risks (forex managed accounts and signals, stock signals etc.). But the beauty of this blog is in the everyday reasonable ideas it gives. And don't think she is suggesting you a humble life - see her long term goals. One million net worth in 10 years.

I think from time to time most of us need to be reminded that there are lower yield investment strategies which work perfectly. Now, combine them with the knowledge you have gained in the high yield world and you are set for a winner. You can create diversified portfolio or aggressive and moderate investments.
