40 days till Cristmass: Don't play ponzis now by Tony CliftonWhy??? Many people will tell you that this is a myth and the HYIPs close at any time of the year etc. etc. I can't understand how one can call himself an investor without being able to understand this simple rule. It is not only valid in the high yield world - any economist can tell you that arround Cristmass and New Year the "average Joe's" bank account go lower than usual because the same Joe is withdrawing money. Then what do you excpet from the HYIP investors? There are 2 very important reasons which makes investing online much harder before Xmass: 1. More ponzis close down. Let's see why this happens: - people withdraw more than usual. Some of them want some money for the holidays - to buy presents, to take a rest or just to make their financial year finish better. Other are out of money because of too many spends arround the holidays and need to look to any possible sources. If they have money in online programs they often withdaw from them - the scam admins also celebrate. Yeah, sounds funny, but in fatc it isn't. The scam artists very often use the end of the year to calculate their earnings and to close the scams untill it is too late. Remember, you might believe or not believe in the "Xmass effect". But the scammers know about it and know that the people will withrdaw a lot. So they should either close now or prepare for a long run. - less investing. This obviously follows from the same reasons which make people withdraw - the average Joe has no money for investing arround the end of the year. And we all know what mean les investing when it comes to pyramid schemes - collapse. - many investors know and believe in the Xmass Effect. So, they don't invest at this time. Thus they make the effect stronger just by knowing about it! This is the same as to advice you to watch the movie X because everyone watches it. The more people believe in that, the more will really go to see that movie. You should have in mind that some ponzis will close yet in the beginnign of December since they want to be faster than you. Many other close in January for 2 reasons - because of a lot of withdrawals were made and because evry few people have money to invest in the beginning of the year. 2. Many short terms scams appear at that time. Yes, you will see a lot of shitty sites offering "Great Xmass Deal", "presents" etc. etc. They count on that the people are more likely to spend small sums for fun instead on investments and they offer them this weird fun. IMHO if you want fun, better go to a party. Published at Nov, 15 '05 , Read 668 times. If you liked this article subscribe to the Free HYWD Newsletter
