Warning: Paid Surveys Scam!
by Sam Parker
In my previous article,
Five Excellent Reasons to Take Paid Surveys Today, we reviewed the main reasons why so many people take paid surveys:
* They can make good Money
* It's real Fun
* They enjoy a Cool Lifestyle
* They make their opinion counts
* It's easy to get started
You too can make top dollars and have fun just for giving your opinion. BUT, be aware that many scams run all over the Internet. You should join only LEGITIMATE survey companies or you could get in trouble!
Signing up to all surveys companies without discerning which ones are legitimate and which ones are not is a BIG MISTAKE. There are a lot of scams on the web that won't pay for the surveys you take and that won't respect your privacy! You won't be paid for your time and you will be bombarded with unwanted ads... Do you get the picture?
The really bad thing is that you will get dashed with paid surveys just because you didn't register to the right companies! To make it really work you must register only to legitimate companies.
How to discern between good and bad surveys companies?
Legitimate surveys companies comply with the following practices:
* Your privacy and the privacy of your answers will be respected.
* Your name, address, phone number, personal information, or individual responses won't be disclosed to anyone outside the research industry without your permission.
* You will not be sold anything, or asked for money, under the guise of research.
* Your decision to participate in a study, answer specific questions, or discontinue your participation will be respected without question.
* You will be paid on time for the surveys you decide to take.
Illegitimate companies typically act as following:
* They try to sell you something and in exchange they promise great rewards.
* Most of the time nobody gets these rewards!
* The Terms & Conditions of these companies (in very little writing on the bottom of their web sites) state they can sell or distribute your personal information without asking any further permission!
If you really want to make money and have great fun with paid surveys, you must join only legitimate companies.
The problem is that it takes a tremendous amount of time to examine the reputation of these companies and to read their terms and conditions! Instead of taking surveys and getting paid for your opinion, you will spend most of your time searching for the legitimate ones...
If you value your time, we recommend joining a professional database that gives access to a big collection of legitimate surveys companies. All the hard work was done for you and you can immediately start registering to companies that will really pay for your opinion instead of searching for them. The subscription fee will be easily recovered from the first surveys you will take. It's worth every penny!
Whether you're a stay-at-home mom, student, retired or just need some extra money, Maximum Paid Surveys makes it easy to get paid for your opinion.

This comment was received from our reader who wished to remain anonymous: I think (but maybe I'm wrong) that http://www.maximumpaidsurveys.com is scam as another very similar like: http://www.paidsurveysonline.com or http://www.workonline4pay.com. I have that two websites from TAS (TeamAaronShara), I maked own DD and it showed me that websites are scam (people who cheerledres those sites on websites no exist, etc., etc. and TAS never answer on my questions about it). So are you really sure that maximumpaidsurveys is not a scam - because it is very strange that they want to pay join fee (what for - real company don't want any fee for join), also they don't show any real address, they also may steal your credit card info - if you pay them for joining and they claim pay you a big (too big) money for simple surveys, etc. Can you tell me for how long you are using they service (they pay you as he claimed on they websites, are you really making money through they)?

Maximum Paid Surveys is a good service. I joined about one month ago and I already took several paid surveys. I was also contacted by a mystery shopping company that offered me my first evaluation shop. I expect to get more and more jobs during next weeks. It's just the beginning. This web site helps me make money and it has valuable information in the membership area (very well organized). I covered also my membership fee. Their customer service is excellent. In short, I am satisfied with what I paid for. No scam here. Only good value for money. I don't know about others but for me it has been good so far. I hope it helps.

* They try to sell you something and in exchange they promise great rewards. Why is maximumpaidsurveys.com charging to register?

Well, if you've read the site she explains that its taken well over 2000 hours to collect and store the data they provide. She deserves to be paid for her time right? My wife is going to try out the site. They do not ask for a lot of personal information. We'll use a pre-paid credit card to sign up, and I'll create a secondary email address for her specifically for this venture. I'll post back here after a month or so. me

Maximum Paid Surveys, in my opinion, is a scam. I paid the $, followed all the directions, and every survey I have taken has resulted in a "sweepstakes entry" or a message, after answering many questions, sometimes 20-30 mins. of my time, that says I don't meet the criteria for this survey. I have NEVER gotten a dime for any work I have done for any company through MPS. When I requested a refund, I never received any kind of reply. Stay away from this company. :(

SO, are all these survey websites scams? Are there not any "real" reviews/ratings on them? Is this one of those "too good to be true" scam types? or is this actually a ligit deal? I'm thinkin, not.

I signed up today after spending a few hours reading about their business and I am intrigued at the potential. My wife came home and when I told her what I did, she commented that all survey companies that ask for money are scams. Then she proceeded to scream at how the checking account will be drained and my identity will be taken etc.. If this is the case I firmly believe that they will get caught and they will be punished in ways that they will not enjoy. However as you shared if this is a legit company and there are opportunites to prosper with surveys then I will as a networker bring many people that I know who are looking for a part time income online to their site. So if you can share any additional information about your credible experiences with them it would greatly be appreciated! I have an encouragement scripture verse e-mail ministry and I will leave you with this verse. Matthew 6:33; But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all things shall be added to you. John Wenzler wenzler@core.com

Paid Online Surveys at Sep, 08 '08 01:57
Just because some survey panels are scams, not all of them are. There are some legitimate market research companies out there, but they are becoming increasingly hard to find. Some survey panels ARE willing to pay for your opinions, and are not the other way round; these sites are free to join.

I hear so many people say that they are really making money doing paid surveys, but unfortunately I have never been able to find the ones that are legit. I've tried this twice and so far no luck. Most of them seem to want you to sign up for alot of fee trials, and who wants to do that. What if you forget to cancel the trial, then you lose money instead. How do you know which one's to really depend on?

How to determine if it's a scam? Is there a website that has an official list to those sites that are not for scams?
