In Focus: U-pie (United Private Investment Enterprise)

This is another program which has not yet received big attention in the major HYI related forums and discussion groups. I am always interested in programs which stay below this "radar" so I decided to take a deeper look - and I don't regret for spending the time on that.

First when you visit United Private Investment Enterprise / U-pie you may think it is a forum based investment, something like Megainvforum.net for example (which is not recommended at this time by the way). Well, that is not the case here. U-pie uses a very good system which allows you to log in your account, deposit, withdraw, track history, support tickets etc - i.e. it has a complete very good account management software. This may no matter for the program credibility, but at least makes your life easier and shows that the admin cares to provide good service.

Program details
You can find a lot of info in the main website/forum. I'll only quote for you the short presentation which contains the most important that you need to know:
Payments: Payments are Daily on active Trading Days
Payment Amount: Variable 0.5%-3% daily based on trading
Minimum Investment: $10
Maximum Investment: $100,000
Compounding: Available
Withdrawal of Capital: You may withdraw your initial investment - 3 day delay to withdraw - 5% fee
Withdrawal of Available Funds: At anytime

Also, its good to know that U-pie is (at least says to be) based on stock day trading.

The opportunity is still young - at the time of writting this article the total capital was slightly exceeding $5,000, so if it is for real, it really has a lot potential to expand.

Due Diligence
There is a due diligence thread in the forum, but unfortunately it does not say much. Basically you can contact them and meet them in various parts of the world when members of their team are travelling there. This is good, but as usual I would be more interested to see trading proof.

Until this happens, we can run some background checks on the admin, website etc. details.
The owner of the program introduces himself as Voltaire and can be found on some HYIP forums, such as Web Life where he joined in April 2006 where he has made several posts on various topics since then. He has joined TalkGold at the same time and has 50-60 posts. His opinions are well based and balanced and do not seem to be placed with the only idea to build trust or post count.

The website is hosted in Singapore on a dedicated server. Everything so far comes to show that we have to deal with a very professional operation, with admin who is spending a lot of time and money in his venture. But still we can't know if this is for real or not (I have contacted Voltaire for further investigations, so you can expect the story to be continued).
Ok, Voltaire responded - he said he is in process of contacting 2 DD groups. More info is expected to come soon

At this point we can only try to estimate the pros and cons of joining and investing in it:

Positives
- Attractive ROI
- Excellent website and support
- The admin seems to be reliable
- Ability to meet members of the team
- Reasonable affiliate program

Negatives
- No proof of trading at this time
- No real DD (some real address, phone, other documents)
- Still new, so there is not much historical data
- Accepts minimum of only $10 - this always raises suspects

As often happens, the final decision if to invest or not will depend a lot of further trading proof availability. The good thing with the low minimum is that you can just try the program with few bucks if you feel unsure. Of course most of us will be waiting for the audit results before spending bigger amounts.
