HotSpot: Ibiza Traders - Scam or Failure?

Ok, if you are a member, you must have already seen the update. The full text is pasted in the blog. In short: they claim to have had a huge loss in trading and the withdrawals are now frozen for at least 3 months.

Maybe you have read our article "In focus: Ibiza Traders, yet another real one? from July. I was quite excited about the program and impressed by Peter Ris (the admin). However that article mentioned the main issue - the lack of trading proof.

A while aftre publishing, Peter gave me and Mark/Bluemax from forum-navigator.com a login to check the live trading account. At that time there was no trading history - just an amount sitting there. The trading was not started.

I did not find this as enough proof to publish here, but both Mark and myself told on various forums that we have verified that account exists. As far as I know noone has claimed to have verified a real trading in progress, but it is quite possible that such rumours have circulated in the net.

We both (me and Mark) were supposed to be given access 3 months later (in October), but this did not happen. Shouldn't this have raised alarm bells? I don't know.

The fact is now I am not sure that Ibiza have traded really.

Peter, if you read this, and I know you will, now is the time to allow us to log in and verify the loss. Everyone will understand and accept it, we all know trading is risky. But without verification we can think in the only logical direction.

Here is an update from Mark/Bluemax: "Just wanted to report to you that Peter has indeed provided me access to his trading account. There is absolutely nothing supcious to report whatsoever. I was able to view his activity. Next we will have a conversation over skype to discuss the current status, probably tomorrow."
