Scammer's portrait: Karsten, The Kid by Tony CliftonI am starting this new rubric where we'll tell you about the most famous scammers in the HYIP world. Our intend is not to admire them of course 8-). I hope learning their behavior we can achieve two main things: - to recognize them when they start the next scam - to recognize similar behavious of other scammers. Well, who is Karsten and why we call him The Kid? This ridiculous guy came on the scene in the early summer this year. He was the admin of Sunflower Seed.org - a nice scam, paying about 28% per week. Interestingly, many people believed he is honest and invested in his ponzi. Karsten was claiming (of course) to be a HYIP pool investing in other programs. He was offering also a "low risk" plan, but noone was interested in it (surprises?). What will we remember Karsten with? - he posted his picture on his site. Asked in the HYIPD forums to post other photos of his, he gladly accepted and show 2 ones. It appeared that was really him. How nice, isn't it? Later he get the photos off. his childish mind felt unsure about being recognized later by those photos maybe? - he was stupid enough to book his domain with his real phone number and he got angry when people try calling him. At this time his childish behaviour took place - "I am not a call center" he said and suddenly became a bit rude. - he was a liar as all of them. Sometimes the scammers get a flash of conscience and feel guilty. Then they promisse refunds and Karsten did the same. But he was inconsistent as a kid as usual. He redecided and said "No refunds at this time". He promissed to start a honest forex program for his investors. What does this idiot know about forex? I guess nothing. - he was nasty. This word describes Karsten best. He stopped paying and confessed that he is running a ponzi. Then he went to a vacation with his investors money. And then... he came back and said "no refunds, folks, i'll start a honest program". What a shamelessness! And at the end his site just went offline. Karsten will be recognized very easy if he starts another scam. His childish conduct will be easy noticed if you ask him awkward questions. He easy gets rude and often changes his mind. He won't show his picture again and won't start the same type of scam, but different - i am excpecting to see a "real" lower returning program from him with various weekly returns. Karsten, we know you, beware... Want to know more about online scams? Published at Aug, 22 '05 , Read 1165 times. If you liked this article subscribe to the Free HYWD Newsletter
